Renting in Belgium: What Tenants and Landlords Should Know

A good tenancy starts with a clear lease and a fair deposit held in the proper way. In Belgium the registered lease protects both sides, and the inventory at move in is worth doing slowly and together. Photograph everything and agree it in writing.

For landlords, a well maintained home keeps good tenants for longer. For tenants, report small issues early so they stay small. Most disputes come from things that were never written down, so write things down.
